The cast of Star Wars: Episode VII has been announced with names that will likely have the fans pleased.

Karen Gillan Will 'Sort Of' Be In Episode VII?

On Tuesday, StarWars.com revealed who would be making an appearance in the seventh installment. As of now, the cast reportedly consists of Adam Driver, Domhnall Gleeson, Daisy Ridley, Max von Sydow, Andy Serkis, John Boyega and Oscar Isaac.

These six will also be joining the original Star Wars cast members, including Mark Hamill, Kenny Baker, Anthony Daniels, Carrie Fisher, Peter Mayhew and Harrison Ford.

Episode VII Will have A New Filming Location?

"We are so excited to finally share the cast of Star Wars: Episode VII, director J.J. Abrams said. "It is both thrilling and surreal to watch the beloved original cast and these brilliant new performers come together to bring this world to life, once again. We start shooting in a couple weeks, and everyone is doing their best to make the fans proud."

The cast of the film has been one of the most talked about pieces of news lately. One of the actors who has been mostly rumored for a part was Driver, from the HBO series Girls, and now it looks like he can be officially planned for the movie. Boyega was another actor who has been talked about in the past.

There were also plenty of stories going back and forth if the original cast would make an appearance or not, which can also have the fans ready for the film.

Star Wars: Episode VII is expected to hit theaters on December 18, 2015.
