Season 3 of House of Cards will continue filming in Maryland as the producers of the show finally struck a deal with the state government but the show might have to take a minor financial hit.

The continuation of filming the third season of the Netflix series -- which has shot its first two seasons in Maryland -- was fraught with troubles over the past few weeks as the producers weren't getting permission from the State of Maryland. But the issue was finally resolved on April 25.

Now it seems like the producers, Media Rights Capital, and the State have struck a deal and things are back in order but there is one small chink in the plan, the show will be getting lesser tax credits. MRC will receive only $11.5 million in tax credits in 2014 and that is reportedly lesser money than the show was hoping to receive.

In a statement Governor of Maryland Martin O'Malley revealed that the show would contribute to the economic health of the State:

"We're going to keep the 3700 jobs and more than 100 million dollars of economic activity and investment that House Of Cards generates right here in Maryland,"  O'Malley said. "Media Rights Capital has been a great supporter of the people and entertainment community in Maryland and we couldn't be happier to continue our partnership."
