Hanging out isn't getting back together, but at least Hilary Duff and her estranged husband Mike Comrie are on good terms. Duff explains how she "honors happiness" with her estranged husband.

Hillary Duff, Mike Comrie Finally Reconciling After Marital Dispute And Separation?

"We're constantly seen together and people are like, 'What are they doing? Are they back together? Are they not?'" The actress and singer, 26, told E! News on May 1 at the iHeartRadio Music Awards.

"We're really good friends and we have so much respect for each other and obviously Luca [the couple's son] is our No. 1 priority."

Duff, 26, married the 33-year-old NHL player in 2010. They announced a separation in January with an amicable split.

Their marital dispute comes from Comrie not putting his best foot forward in the relationship, as reported by Us Weekly on April 12. They tried counseling for 18 months, but an insider revealed, "he wasn't doing any of the things they'd worked on."

It became clear, that they work better as friends. As reported in People on January 10, "There was no major incident -- no big event between the two of them. They really did drift apart," a source said. "They have put effort and thought into this decision for a long time. ... And they really are great friends."

It was not "a rash decision," the source continues. "It's something [Hilary] thought through. She really does care about him and he really does care about her."

They now put their energies towards co-parenting their 2-year-old boy, Luca Cruz. In addition, Duff says their relationship is all about "honoring happiness."
