Hilary Duff, Disney Channel's Lizzie McGuire darling  -pre-Miley Cyrus- is making a few headlines of her own.

No, the actress is not twerking on Robin Thicke's crotch, but rumors are swirling that Duff, 26, might be reconciling with her estranged ex-husband Mike Comrie, 33, a former hockey player. She just spent the weekend with him at Coachella, a good sign, and was spotted taking their two-year old son, Luca Cruz, to the gym on Wednesday.

Allegedly, their marital dispute comes from Comrie not putting his best foot forward in the relationship, as reported by Us Weekly on April 12. They tried counseling for 18 months, but an insider revealed, "he wasn't doing any of the things they'd worked on." In their announcement to split, Duff's rep said, "They remain best friends and will continue to be in each other's lives." Neither Comrie nor Duff has filed legal documents since separating on January 10. A source told People on January 10, that the split was not "a rash decision... It's something [Hilary] thought through." The source continues, "She really does care about him and he really does care about her."

They must care a lot, because the duo has been spotted shopping together at Chanel in Beverly according to today's Daily Mail report. They even shared a Valentine's Day trip intended for the couple to split assets and discuss custody for Luca, but it turned into couple's therapy as they worked on their marriage. Could there possibly be a change of heart for Duff?

Duff tweeted a cryptic photo on April 14th that looks like there is: "Appreciate the human capacity for love[,] empathy[,] power[,] passion[,] forgiveness[,] grace[,] family and friendship. There are so many different feelings we can imagine, experience, and appreciate." It's since been retweeted over 1000 times.

Yet, there are conflicting rumors swirling in the fire.

An insider told People, "They are still separated but very good friends... They were at Coachella this weekend, which is sure to fan the flames, but they aren't a couple. It's just not true - they remain separated."

Both camps refuse to confirm or deny reports.
