New rumors are swirling from Life & Style that Davis and Chmerkovskiy's chemistry during their dances might actually be because they've developed a romantic relationship. The publication is saying that their "sizzling chemistry on the dance floor" might also be reflected in their romantic lives.

"Offscreen, it's even more intense!" an insider claimed to the magazine, adding, "There were no cameras on them, but Maks was spotted kissing her and hugging her. They seem super close, and it is definitely not just for the cameras. Everyone on set has noticed their chemistry!"

While Chmerkovskiy does seem to have a special relationship with Davis, the rumors are reportedly false. A new report from GossipCop claims that the rumors are "100 percent not true," per a source close to the show.

Davis and Chmerkovskiy have made themselves into the presumptive frontrunners with consistently high-scoring dances. They have been the highest scoring dancers in five separate weeks this season, with the second highest being Charlie White and Amy Purdy, who have been tops twice.

However, the latest episode featured the pair in possible danger as they actually received the lowest scores of the evening overall. Guest judge Abby Lee Miller was very critical of Davis' footwork, causing her to score them lower.

Dancing With the Stars season 18 airs Mondays at 8 p.m. on ABC.
