The five celebrities remaining on Dancing With the Stars were cut down to four Monday night as Olympic ice dancer Charlie White got the boot in a shocking elimination.

It was down to White and his ice dancing partner turned competitor Meryl Davis for elimination at the end of Monday night's episode of DWTS, but it was the male ice dancer who was eliminated in fifth place.

White and his pro dancing partner Sharna Burgess were eliminated despite receiving a 40 out of 40 two weeks in a row for at least one of their dances.

Meanwhile, Davis was the last to be called safe alongside her partner Maks Chmerkovskiy. The pair received a perfect score Monday night, getting a 40 out of 40 from the judges for both of their dances.

The next highest scoring dancer was Paralympian Amy Purdy, who received a 39 out of 40 for each of her dances with Derek Hough.

Both White and singer James Maslow received a 40 out of 40 for their first dance and a 36 out of 40 for their second dance, but Maslow remains in the competition with partner Peta Murgatroyd.

Bringing up the rear was Full House actress Candace Cameron Bure and partner Mark Ballas, receiving a 34 out of 40 and a 38 out of 40. She also remains in the competition, despite being the lowest scoring dancer a few times this season.

Going into the finals, it looks to be Davis' to lose, but any one of them could pull it off. While Davis has frontrunner status, Purdy has a compelling story in her ability to adapt to dancing with mechanical legs. Cameron Bure's story is compelling as well as she has never been a frontrunner but lasted up to this point as an underdog. Meanwhile, Maslow and Murgatroyd have undeniable chemistry with each other and have been incredibly consistent.

Dancing With the Stars season 18 airs Mondays at 8 p.m. on ABC.
