Survivor host Jeff Probst has revealed new details about the upcoming Cagayan finale, including one important element that has been missing thus far into the season.

Survivor: Cagayan: Final Two or Final Three?

Probst participated in a Reddit Ask Me Anything thread Monday in which he teased many things about the finale as well as the future of the series. One Reddit commenter asked Probst why there was no family visit this season, prompting the host to essentially spill the beans:

Ah so glad you asked this.... do you know what happens when you assume -- remember that "one? You make an a--... well my friend and I mean that lovingly--- the season is not yet over is it? Ah thee of so little faith!" he said, essentially confirming that a family visit would happen during the finale.

Woo Set To 'Burn The Whole Place Down' In Survivor Finale?

The family visit is usually reserved for the final six or final seven castaways remaining but that wasn't the case for Cagayan. Presumably, the final four castaways, Kass McQuillen, Spencer Bledsoe, Tony Vlachos and Woo Hwang, will each receive a visit from someone special to them, with only a few days remaining in the game.

Probst also discussed the various rumors floating around about the next few seasons of Survivor. When asked if Season 30 would be Survivor: Legends, Probst was coy but dismissed it as a rumor.

"I love the title 'Survivor legends' - but can't confirm or deny anything. I will say this though --- we look at season 30 as another season," he said. "That's been very interesting to me to listen to people say 'You gotta do something REALLY BIG for 30!' I'm not sure I agree. What we have to do is a great season. That's the most important thing. And I'm loving having new players."

He then listed off several players who he considers to be All Star worthy from the past two seasons, including Tony, Spencer and Kass plus Tasha Fox and Sarah Lacina from Cagayan and Hayden Moss, Vytas Baskauskas, Brad Culpepper and Ciera Eastin from Blood vs. Water.

He also commented on one of the more common concept pitches over the years - an all-winners season.

"Comes down to enough of them wanting to do it - an even division of men and women and enough winners that are truly interesting and worth bringing back," he said. "Not all winners are great characters."

In the mean time, Survivor: Cagayan will conclude with its two-hour finale and live reunion show Wednesday at 8 p.m. on CBS.
