Survivor host Jeff Probst may have accidentally spoiled what's ahead for the upcoming 29th and 30th seasons of the reality series.

Woo Set To 'Burn The Whole Place Down' In Survivor Finale?

With Survivor: Cagayan being such a success both critically and in the ratings, fans of the long-running reality series might be in for more seasons of all new players. Probst spoke with HitFix in an interview published Wednesday, discussing his thoughts on having all new people this season.

"We didn't know going in, you know -- Is this gonna work? Fans kept asking us for it but they had also been enjoying the returning players seasons. So you're not always sure what the right move is. I will say that we felt really good about the cast," Probst said. "I mean, David Samson, the Marlins guy? Fantastic. If he'd just lasted a few more weeks he'd be so memorable and we locked him out of the gate and still looked around and went, 'Well that's alright. We've still got 15 others.' So we were hesitant but we were optimistic and now we're gearing up for two new seasons with all new people back to back."

Jeff Probst Reveals Big Survivor Finale Details

When pressed about the possibility of Season 30 not being an All-Star season, despite previous rumors, Probst was vague with a response, which may or may not have confirmed that there will indeed be two all-new casts in the coming seasons.

"Don't know about that but just in terms of our confidence with bringing back former players versus new players we, you know I feel like one thing I said recently in, you know, Twitter or in a blog or whatever is that I listen to the audience," he explained, adding that the audience is passionate about several of the show's twists, like Redemption Island and Hidden Immunity Idols.

"I feel like there's this ability to talk to an audience and get feedback from them," he noted. "And it doesn't mean they dictate the show but it does seem like a really valuable tool. And they'd been asking for new players and they've given us the confidence to try it and it's spawned some new ideas about what we can do with the show that can satisfy everybody."

Prior to Survivor: Cagayan, the last season to feature exclusively new players was Season 24, Survivor: One World. Presuming Survivor does bring in all new cast members for the next two seasons, it would be the first stretch of three seasons to feature all new players since Gabon-Tocantins-Samoa, which was Seasons 17 through Season 19.

Survivor: Cagayan airs its finale Wednesday at 8 p.m. on CBS.
