Now that Stefan came back from The Other Side, many fans are wondering whether or not he and Caroline will start dating on the CW's Vampire Diaries next season.

Fans React To Stefan's Death On TVD 

While nothing has been confirmed, Paul Wesley, who plays Stefan, joked that he hopes the characters will speed up the dating process.

"They need to have sex, just get right to it," Wesley told TVLine.com. "We'd have sex in the Salvatore crypt. That's the way to go, man."

Nina Dobrev also revealed that she feels her character Elena will "figure out a way to be okay" with the fact that Caroline has feelings for her ex-boyfriend Stefan.

"It's going to be a little awkward, but let's be real, who is Elena to judge? She dated a brother, then dated his brother, then went back and forth. She can't say anything. She has no right," Dobrev also told TVLine.

It's unclear what will happen with Elena and Damon, who was stuck on The Other Side on the season 5 finale with Bonnie.

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, executive producer Julie Plec revealed that The Other Side is destroyed, but Damon (Ian Somerhalder) and Bonnie (Kat Graham) will return for season 6. Yet, it's unclear in what capacity fans will get to see the two beloved characters.

"I mean, there's a million different ways that you can do that," she said. "But as far as in what context - how, why, and where? - that's part of the mystery."
