The actor was part of an Emmy roundtable conducted by the LATimes which also featured other notable television actors like John Hamm (Mad Men), Lizzy Caplan (Masters of Sex), Vera Farmiga (Bates Motel), Julianna Margulies (The Good Wife), and Norman Reedus (The Walking Dead).

While Schreiber was essentially there to discuss his craft as an actor and the challenges and pleasures of playing a professional fixer of steely grit on the Showtime series, he also let slip a small detail which was something of a season 2 spoiler.

Speaking of a scene he was shooting for the show the same day as the interview, Schreiber revealed that tensions between Ray and his daughter will emerge in season 2.

"We shot something today with Ray's daughter, played by Kerris Dorsey, she kind of rebels against Ray and says something really nasty to him and I found myself just like devastated that she said this," he said. "And it wasn't my coverage, unfortunately, it was her coverage, she said the thing, and I was like, "Oh, ... " And then I realized the camera's not on me."

The second season will premiere on July 13.

Ray Donovan will air on Sundays at 8 pm ET/PT on Showtime.
