Dancing With the Stars pro dancer Karina Smirnoff is ready for motherhood, according to new rumors, and she has reportedly frozen her eggs to ensure it, just in case.

Smirnoff, who most recently competed with former NHL player Sean Avery on Dancing With the Stars, is reportedly "desperate" to have children and has gone about the process of freezing her eggs in order to fulfill her dream.

"Karina Smirnoff has frozen her eggs and is considering going the route of a sperm donor," a source close to the dancer told PerezHilton recently. "She hasn't been too successful in dating and desperately wants a baby, so she's been working with a fertility doctor since last fall to discuss her options."

The report claims that Smirnoff wants at least two children and will go about having them even if she doesn't find a suitor. Allegedly, friends of the star say that if she hits 39 years old without finding a man, she will be having the kids and raising them on her own, regardless.

Smirnoff has dedicated much of her life to professional dancing, having competed in 15 seasons of Dancing With the Stars. The 36-year-old dancer won once, with J.R. Martinez, came in second with Mario Lopez in her debut season and Corbin Bleu in Season 17 and placed third with Jacoby Jones the season before that.

Dancing With the Stars Season 19 premieres in fall 2014 on ABC, though the network has not announced a specific air date yet. It is returning to its regular Mondays at 8 p.m. timeslot.
