Sara Carbonero is making it clear that her career is still a top priority for her, despite the fact that she just gave birth a few months ago. The Spanish celebrity reveals that she apparently left her newborn baby back at home in Spain to concentrate on the World Cup in Brazil instead. The popular television journalist and Iker Casillas' girlfriend says that her 4-month-old baby Martin is in good hands with a trusted caretaker while she and Casillas are in South America.

"In this case, I'll leave Martin here, especially at the beginning," she told Spain's Elmundo website last week before leaving for Brazil. "I'm going to work and it's one of those things I have to organize before moving forward.

"But I'm going to work, as I have done for the past five years with my colleagues, and everything will be exactly the same. Martin will be perfectly taken care of," she added.

Even though Carbonero admits that she doesn't know how long she will be in Brazil to report on Spain's performance at the Cup, she is hoping that her experience this time won't be as highly-publicized as it was back during the 2010 World Cup in South Africa. Carbonero was criticized for her journalistic integrity when she interviewed boyfriend Casillas after a match. She has high hopes though for her country's team.

"It's going to be difficult, but the Spanish players have always retained their quality, and it keeps giving us positive results, so this year, I hope it's the same," she said. "I've got a good feeling."

Carbonero gave birth to Martin at the Ruber International Hospital in Madrid in January, the first child for both her and Casillas.
