Even celebrities can make dating mistakes -- everyone is human after all.

Some celebrities have even realized their relationship mistakes after preparing to take a major step in their relationships and make plans to walk down the aisle. Some wound up planning weddings, only to call off their engagements and relationships in general.

Whether the relationships  were called off because of the celebrities just realizing they were too different, one of them getting cold feet, or another doing something like cheating, nine celebrity couples who called off engagements still tend to stand out in memory because these couples seemed not only genuinely happy together, but like perfect matches.

Enstars compiled the list of these nine couples who sadly called things off after they got engaged.

The first on the list is Sheryl Crow and Lance Armstrong. The country singer and one-time celebrated bicyclist with a record number of Tour de France wins ended a five-month engagement (and three-year relationship) in 2006. The two called it a mutual decision. Since then, Crow has overcome breast cancer and adopted two sons. Armstrong, however, was stripped of all his titles after he was revealed to have been doping.
