With so many Boy Meets World characters popping up in the new Disney Channel spin-off, nostalgic '90s fans might not be happy with the direction show runners decided to take.

Boy Meets World Original Characters Set To Return For Disney Channel Spin-Off?

The final scene from the Disney Channel's Girl Meets World pilot has been circulating on the internet. The clip shows Cory Matthews (Ben Savage) and wife Topanga (Danielle Fishel) helping their daughter's best friend through a rough time.

As the scene closes, Cory looks behind him to see a sweater-clad Mr. Feeny (William Daniels), his neighbor and teacher on Boy Meets World. Mr. Feeny smiles knowingly before telling Cory that he has done a good job. Cory smiles back at him, but when the camera cuts back to the wall, Mr. Feeny is gone. The Mr. Feeny in this episode is obviously in Cory's imagination, begging the question: Is Mr. Feeny dead?

Girl Meets World Bridging The Gap Between Old And New Audiences?

The character was of course an older gentleman during the original program's run during the 1990s, but could his character on Girl Meets World be limited to fantasy sequences with Cory?

Back in May, Us Weekly confirmed that Daniels would be featured in the first episode of Girl Meets World, though they were unable to confirm the nature or extent of his role.

If the legendary Mr. Feeny has indeed passed on, childhood fans of the original show might have something to say about it.
