Teen Wolf fans have waited three years for Stiles Stilinski to have a girlfriend, and season 4 will finally give viewers what they want.

Sort of.

The sarcastic teen has spent the majority of his school years enamored with Lydia Marten (Holland Roden), but the upcoming summer season does not look particularly promising in the romance department for the banshee.

"[Roden] does comedy, drama and romance equally well - but the one spoiler I can give for her is that we pull back quite a bit on romance for her," said series creator Jeff Davis, according to TV Line. "As she's exploring her abilities and dealing with the death of her best friend [Allison], romance takes a back seat."

Malia (Shelly Hennig), on the other hand, is perfectly available and clearly attracted to Stiles (Dylan O'Brien), hence their little make out session at Eichen House. However, her wild nature and Stiles unfamiliarity with the dating scene will make the couple's pairing a little more confusing.

"It's definitely romantic, but it's not going to be easy," David told TV Line. "Stiles is the kind of guy who's never really had a girlfriend, and she's still got a bit of a wild creature in her, so they don't really know what they're doing. They know they're attracted to each other, but once they start trying to put a label on it, things get more complicated."
