Love is in the air on Teen Wolf, and not just for Stiles and Malia. Although notoriously unlucky in love, Derek Hale will attempt a relationship once more during season 4.

Derek's previous love interests have generally ended with murder. The former alpha has a knack for falling under the amorous gaze of female psychopaths, and his short tryst always come to a sudden halt when his girlfriends turn out to be murderous hunters or serial killer darachs.

Season 4 will be different, however, as the brooding Hale will finally experience a relationship sans ritual sacrifice.

"I can also tease a new and exciting romance for Derek, as well," said series creator Jeff Davis on the season 3 finale of Wolf Watch "And this time it's not with the sociopath."

According to TV Line, Derek's latest love interest could revolve around the enigmatic Braeden (Meagan Tandy) based on a promo clip that shows the pair kissing.

"That could be possible," Davis told TV Line, handily avoiding spilling any major spoilers.

Is Braeden a sociopath? Not that we're aware. Is she a morally vague mercenary? Most definitely.
