Known to many as someone who pushes the envelope in terms of cracking controversial jokes within the free-flowing confines of his comedy, noteworthy internet joke sensation Daniel Tosh made the headlines this morning via an offensive racial remark that was apparently aimed at a female audience member at Hollywood's Laugh Factory.

Reportedly written by an audience member crony, Tosh used a racial slur in return to the viewer's response to one of his trademark rape rants.

According to the Breakfast Cookie, the Comedy Central funny man made "some very generalizing, declarative statements about rape jokes always being funny, how can a rape joke not be funny, rape is hilarious, etc."

The source blogger also claims that the offended audience member blurted out, "actually rape jokes are never funny!"  In which Tosh then said "wouldn't it be funny if that girl got raped by like, 5 guys right now?  Like right now?  What if a bunch of guys raped her?"

The woman, obviously appalled by Tosh, then apparently picked herself up and marched on out.

Realizing the error in his mouthy ways, Tosh took to his Twitter account yesterday providing a link to one of the published reports.  He can wrote that "all the out of context misquotes aside, I'd like to sincerely apologize."

Premiering in 2009, Daniel Tosh is known for his internet show, which pokes fun at illogically posted internet video clips.  Based around the concept of inappropriate humor, the show is still standing strong in its 4th year.

Contrary to the in-person routine, Tosh has been raking in the viewers at home; playing hard ball with the likes of fellow network television fixtures "The Daily Show" and The Colbert Report", pulling in well over 2 million viewers.

With the continued emergence of YouTube and new online videos popping up on the web daily, the show clearly will not be regressing anytime soon.
