The singer has reportedly gotten started on making new music. One track is with fellow X-Factor contestant Beatrice Miller and it's a hit that he's looking forward to.

"I believe that art is the most powerful form of influence that you can have," Chadwick said. "That possibility [of art] was really exciting to me."

Chadwick also spoke to Hollywood Life about his decision to leave the group as well as what kind of music he plans to make.

"It's a breakdown," he said. "It's folk, hip-hop, R&B, pop, subtle electronic...it also has a reggae influence. We don't play by the rules. Constant innovation, constant thinking outside of the box."

The former X Factor star also revealed that he would have an interest in working with Selena Gomez on tour again since he did that before when he was with Emblem3.

"I had a good time on tour with her," Chadwick said. "I'd be down to work with her if she was down to work with me. Sometime in the future maybe we'll get back together."
