Jennifer Lopez said Friday she will not be returning to American Idol.

Lopez made the announcement on Ryan Seacrest's radio show early today.

"I honestly feel like the time has come that I have to get back to doing the other things that I do," Lopez said.

Seacrest told Lopez that she was "breaking up" with him. She humbly replied "You're going to make me cry. I honestly feel the time has come to get back to do what I do. I have put it on hold because I love Idol so much. You have a lot of other responsibilities and other things you want to do."

She ended off by saying; "We had an amazing run."

Lopez isn't the only judge that has made the decision to leave the show. Fellow judge Steven Tyler announced Thursday he would focus on his band "Aerosmith."

"After some long...hard...thoughts...I've decided it's time for me to let go of my mistress American Idol before she boils my rabbit," Tyler said in a statement.

The third judge, Randy Jackson is also rumored to be leaving the show but he has not made any announcement yet.

If Jackson confirms his exit, Seacrest will be the last original member in the show, which debuted in 2002.

Media outlets are reporting that American Idol producers are looking into renewing the image of the show's judges following in the steps of rival talent competition shows such as "The X Factor" who signed Britney Spears and Demi Lovato.

The show reportedly suffered from low ratings last season.
