While fans wait to hear more about the drama they'll see on Hart of Dixie's fourth season, star of The CW series, Rachel Bilson, prepares for motherhood and took an extra careful glance at girl clothes.

'Hart of Dixie' Gets More Eye Candy With New Fire Department

She was spotted shopping in Los Angeles Monday. She rocked a jean shorts, a cream button-up top and flats as she made her way to Bel Bambini boutique in West Hollywood. A shopper who saw Bilson browsing the racks told Us Weekly that she appeared to be, "happy and low key."

The gender of Bilson's first child with her boyfriend Hayden Christensen is still a mystery. Bilson was seen shopping in the girl and boy aisles of the store. But the same source revealed that she seemed more intrigued with clothes for a baby girl.

"Rachel spent a long time holding onto a little pair of denim shorts, with a bow on them - they were for a baby girl, but not newborn clothes."

The former OC actress went on to "ooh and ahh" over dresses before she checked out with necessities like pacifiers, baby blankets and even a car seat. Her friend was seen helping her put the goods in the car.

The same source also told the magazine that Bilson needed a little extra help.

"They couldn't fit [the car seat] in. So a store associate came back out to take the seat out of the box in order to fit it in the car."

Christensen and Bilson are said to be "so excited" for their child.

A second insider said, "They've both talked about this for awhile. Everyone is beyond thrilled for them."

It is not clear how Bilson's pregnancy will change Zoe Hart's storyline for Hart of Dixie or how far into her pregnancy Bilson plans to film for the popular show. Hart of Dixie returns to The CW in January 2015.
