MTV has never had a shortage of pregnant teens across the country to film for their reality series, and this week the network decided to test its 16 and Pregnant stars on some sex-Ed topics.

TV Network Stands By While Homeless Teen Struggles?

This is MTV's second quiz for the new mothers. Both were organized by the National Campaign to Prevent Teen and Unplanned Pregnancy.

For the quiz, most of the teens appeared in the studio with their beaus, though Savon came with her aunt and one teen appeared alone. They each stood in front of a table, which included a few diagrams to aide in the demonstration.

Alums Prep For Parenthood?

While the teens seemed to know some of the starting questions, such as whether or not condoms have an expiration date, none of them knew the correct age at which one can purchase the "morning after" pill. Ever since the law was changed in 2013, there is no age requirement to purchase the morning after pill, though many of the MTV stars had thought it was a variety of ages, ranging from twelve to eighteen.

MTV claims that the quizzes, along with their new knowledge as teen mothers, will help prevent future unplanned pregnancies for the stars. It will also help to educate viewers and prevent unexpected teen pregnancy in households across the country.

Statistics have shown that MTV reality programming, including 16 and Pregnant and the spin-off series' Teen Mom and Teen Mom 2, have had an impact on teenage pregnancy rates in the United States.

While the reality shows may be preventing pregnancy amongst other teens across the country, a number of Teen Mom stars have gone on to have other children at a young age. Most recently, twenty-three-year-old Jenelle Evans of Teen Mom 2 had her second son with her new boyfriend.
