After releasing a new song and teasing a new album, Austin Mahone has confirmed that he is working on new music for his fans.

On July 16, Mahone posted a photo to Instagram with his boss Birdman captioned, "Playing new music for @birdman5star just wait til you hear what we got". The pic shows both of them in the studio together. On July 14, Mahone tweeted to his fans "Back in the studio working on something special".

Birdman signed Mahone to Cash Money Records last October. "It's really cool. ... Cash Money and Universal teamed up to help me and help me grow my career," Mahone had told MTV News. "Those guys are just amazing and super nice; very professional. It's really cool to be a part of it."

"You know, [Cash Money] just told me to keep working hard," Mahone continued. "They keep telling me they believe in me, and it's really cool to hear that from them, 'cause, you know, I've been a fan of them for years and it's really cool to hear that. Plus, they give me encouragement and just tell me big things are coming, they got songs for me, and it's really a lot of fun."

Mahone just released his last EP The Secret on May 27, but had hinted about new music coming soon. Mahone is currently rehearsing for his upcoming headlining tour in between working on his new songs in Miami. Mahone is set to kick off his tour in San Antonio on July 25 with help from The Vamps, Fifth Harmony and Shawn Mendes.
