David Bowie has not been a prolific musician in recent years, but that may be changing.

His last album, The Next Day, came out in 2013, but before that there was a whopping 10 years between albums for the music legend, and even then the release of The Next Day was something of a surprise. Well, it seems that Bowie has another surprise in store for his fans. A Sunday article from David Bowie News says that there will be more new music soon from Bowie.

The news was unveiled at a charity event in London. The event, which was called The Day After Next, a celebration of Bowie's career that featured items being auctioned, including items provided by Bowie himself. Along with these items came the following message: "This city is even better than the one you were in last year, so remember to dance, dance, dance. And then sit down for a minute, knit something, then get up and run all over the place. Do it. Love on ya. More music soon. David." Granted, "soon" is fairly vague, but it certainly seems likely that in the not too distant future that Bowie will be releasing new music, and perhaps unveiling a new album.

Bowie, who is now 67, saw his previous album get nominated for a Grammy for Best Rock Album, although the Grammy Awards tend to like to laud legacy acts such as Bowie. However, his huge fan base that he has built up over the years are likely excited by this little bit of news, and they will surely be keeping their eyes out, or rather their ears open, waiting for the new music to drop.
