Quinto, who played the villainous yet popular Sylar on Heroes, spoke with TheWrap this week about the possibility of him returning for the upcoming reboot.

"I've been talking to [creator] Tim [Kring] and I'm really excited that they're doing that show," he said, before adding, "I don't really see the room for me to be involved at this point, just based on my schedule. But, I'm not sure if it will work out just based on availability alone."

Quinto has gone on to star in such shows as American Horror Story while also headlining as Spock in the massively popular Star Trek film franchise. Despite the probability that he will not return for Heroes Reborn, Quinto said that he is looking forward to it.

"I'm forever grateful to [Kring], and I'm really excited," Quinto noted. "I know the fans are really looking forward to that and I'm excited about the fact that they're making it . . . I know I'll be excited to watch it and be a part of it any way I can."

So far, only Jack Coleman has signed on to return from the original series, returning to the role of Noah Bennet, a.k.a. HRG.

Heroes Reborn is scheduled to air on NBC in 2015, though the network has not yet announced a specific premiere date. It will air as a 13-episode miniseries.
