As one Salem couple potentially finds themselves growing closer once more, another could find the space between them widening even further on Days of Our Lives.

Nicole Offers E.J. Help

Nicole (Arianne Zucker) and Eric (Greg Vaughan) found themselves breaking up after Eric learned that Nicole had destroyed evidence proving he was drugged the night he had sex with Kristen DiMera-all so she could keep him from returning to the church. Eric was devastated to find that the woman he loved had betrayed him so deeply, and called off their wedding as a result.

However, he has been unable to get back into the church successfully, meaning he will come face-to-face with his former fiancée one more, asking her to help him get the one thing he truly wants most in the world. And when the two see each other again after their time apart, the chemistry could reignite some familiar old feelings.

Eve Asks Out Daniel To Mess With Jennifer?

One couple who won't be quite so lucky is Jennifer (Melissa Reeves) and Daniel (Shawn Christian). The two split over Jennifer being the reason behind Nicole and Eric's split, and Daniel hasn't been able to trust her since. However, the slight hope that the two would reunite once again could be dashed-as Jennifer will spy her estranged boyfriend with her sworn enemy, Eve Donovan (Kassie DePaiva)-and she will assume the worst.

While Eve potentially causes trouble for Daniel and Jennifer, her little sister Theresa (Jen Lilley) will be busy trying to cover her tracks as the news remains grim for John's (Drake Hogestyn) loved ones after she attacked him. She convinced Brady (Eric Martsolf) that he had been responsible for the attack-and if her lies are exposed she could be in some major trouble.

Days of Our Lives airs Monday-Friday at 1 p.m. on NBC.
