The drama is continuing to heat up on General Hospital, as one famed resident is fighting to save his reputation, and another works to keep the man she loves in town.

Silas Warns Obrecht She Will Answer for 'The Blood On Her Hands'

Patrick (Jason Thompson) is one of the most highly-respected neurosurgeons in town, but his reputation and job are now on the line after he failed to save Rafe's (Jimmy Deshler) life. No one knows if they can believe he genuinely tried to save the teen, after he was forced to perform the operation mere hours after learning he was responsible for Gabriel's death.

The only person who appears to be on his side is his mother-in-law, Anna (Finola Hughes), who believes Dr. Obrecht (Kathleen Gati), the Chief of Staff, is trying to disgrace him.

Maxie Fights To Keep Levi In The U.S.

"It looks to me like you are setting Patrick up for a fall," she says to Obrecht in a preview clip for the Monday, July 21 episode.

If Obrecht is trying to set Patrick up, he isn't the only one trying to prove his innocence in a tricky situation. Nathan (Ryan Paevy) is also experiencing something similar, as he believes Levi (Zachary Garred) framed him to make it look as if he called immigration-which destroyed his chances with Maxie (Kirsten Storms) for good.

"Levi set me up!" Nathan exclaims to Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) in the clip.

And while the two police detectives work to prove Nathan isn't responsible for Levi's current troubles, he will be scheming to find not only his golden ticket to staying in the U.S.-but the perfect way to keep Maxie from any other potential romance.

"If I go back to Australia, they're going to put me in prison," he says to her.

Maxie, who generally suffers from a guilty conscience, could feel obligated to help her boyfriend stay out of prison-and could shock everyone with an announcement that she plans to marry him so he can stay with her.

General Hospital airs Monday-Friday at 2 p.m. on ABC.
