Last week, the first image from the Adam Sandler-starring, Chris Columbus-directed film about 80s video games, Pixels, hit the web with a shot of Sandler and co-stars Peter Dinklage, Josh Gad, and Michelle Monaghan showing off their duds. But now, a list of the video game characters featured has hit the web and it features a few classics.

The plot for Pixels starts when aliens misinterpret video-feeds of classic arcade games as a declaration of war against them, they attack the Earth, using the games as models for their various assaults. President Will Cooper (Kevin James) has to call on his childhood best friend, '80s video game champion Sam Brenner (Sandler), now a home theater installer, to lead a team of old-school arcaders (Gad, Dinklage) to defeat the aliens and save the planet.

First Showing released the list of video game companies involved include Atari Interactive, Konami Digital Entertainment Co., Ltd., BANDAI NAMCO Games Inc., Nintendo, Columbia Pictures Industries, Inc., Taito Corporation, and Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment.

Adam Sandler Tops Forbes' List Of Most-Overpaid Actors

The games include Asteroids, Breakout, Centipede, Missile Command, Frogger, PAC-MAN, Galaga, Dig Dug, Donkey Kong, Q*bert, Space Invaders, Joust, Defender, Robotron and Wizard of Wor.

With the aliens invading in the forms of these different games, it actually seems like a Sandler movie may be in many moviegoers' "most anticipated" list. Based just on nostalgia, this film looks like it could be a fun time and the cast has shown to be promising with three actors who are on recent hits (Gad in Frozen, Monaghan in True Detective, and Dinklage in Game of Thrones).

Only time will tell if Sandler can deliver a critical and commercial hit, and fix the box office flop that Blended turned out to be.
