The fate of Devious Maids still hasn't been determined, but if the recent addition of the show to another country's television lineup is any indication of its renewal in the U.S., signs are good for season 3 gracing television screens.

Surprising Fan Admits To Liking 'Devious Maids'

The show ended its second season run on July 13, and the fate of a third season on Lifetime has yet to be decided-but the show's popularity here has helped it get picked up in Australia as well-where stars Ana Ortiz and Grant Show recently traveled to promote the show's premiere there.

The show's first season is set to premiere on the country's Foxtel Universal Channel July 24 at 8:30 p.m.

'Devious Maids' Being Picked Up For Third Season?

As for its renewal chances for a third season here in the U.S., that is hard to determine. Though ratings for the series were modest throughout the second season, the program didn't hit the  same level of highs it did during its first.

The show also faced stiff competition in its 10 p.m. timeslot on Sundays this season, getting beaten all season by a wide variety of shows, including HBO's Silicon Valley and The Leftovers, AMC's Mad Men, Bravo's Real Housewives of Atlanta  and Real Housewives of New Jersey, Adult Swim's Bob Burgers, TLC's Return to Amish, TNT's Falling Skies and Discovery's Naked and Afraid.

According to Hypable, the season 2 premiere started strong with 1.96 million viewers, but the rest of the season attracted a lower number of average viewers between 1.5 and 1.7 million.
