On Sunday, Mahone built up anticipation with his tweets. "I have something i wanna share with you" he wrote first. "you guys are going to like this," he later added "I'm gonna give you the very first song i ever recorded in Miami. i recorded it about 3 years ago... before i even moved there...Are you ready for it??" he wrote in another tweet.

Mahone then revealed the track called Shawty Shawty ft. Bei Maejor. This has been a busy week for Mahone who is currently on his headlining summer tour. Mahone just wrapped up dates in Los Angeles, Las Vegas and San Jose before hitting up West Valley City, UT on August 6.

Mahone will then gear up for the Teen Choice Awards. Mahone is nominated for five awards in total including Choice Male Artist, Choice Male Hottie and Choice Smile. For Choice Male Artist, Mahone is competing against Justin Timberlake, Jason Derulo, Pharrell Williams, Pitbull and Ed Sheeran. In the coveted Male Hottie category, Mahone is up against heavy hitters Zac Efron, One Direction, Ian Somerhalder, Ryan Gosling and Liam Hemsworth. In the Choice Single Male Artist, Mahone is up against Happy by Pharrell Williams, Sing by Ed Sheeran, Stay With Me by Sam Smith and Talk Dirty by Jason Derulo featuring 2 Chainz. The Teen Choice Awards will air on August 10 on Fox.
