Hawaii Five-0's Steve McGarrett will bond with a new woman during season 4, but that doesn't mean she is a contender for the spot of 'girlfriend.'

McGarrett Has 'Mourning Period' For Rollins On 'Hawaii Five-0', Takes McRollins Separation Hard

Following Catherine Rollins' (Michelle Borth) decision to stay in Afghanistan during season 4, the McRollins relationship came to a grinding halt. Although the pair are not broken up, per say, her long absence does provide Steve (Alex O'Loughlin) an opportunity to move on.

The Navy SEAL will not, however. At least not with the unnamed woman he will soon meet at his father's graveside.

"Everybody's selling it as a love interest, but really it's a friendship," said executive producer Peter Lenkov, according to TV Line. "McGarrett meets a woman on the anniversary of his father's death, and they share the common trauma of both losing a parent very early on. And that's going to play into an arc."

In the meantime, McGarrett will have his hands full with the Wo Fat (Mark Dacascos) mystery. The criminal's connection to McGarrett and his mother has been on a slow simmer since season 1, but the 100th episode will crank it up to a boil and provide answers fans have long been anticipating.
