He may not care much for his character's name or costumes, but that hasn't stopped Adam Rodriguez for signing on to reprise his role as a stripper for the highly anticipated Magic Mike: XXL sequel movie.

'Step Up' Actor Replacing Alex Pettyfer In 'Magic Mike' Sequel?

Rodriguez, who portrayed stripper Tito in the first film back in 2012, sat down with Glamour Magazine to talk about the upcoming sequel, as well as his role on CBS' Reckless, and it was during the interview that he revealed what he disliked most about the role-which included not only his character's name, but the costume he often donned.

When asked which character's name he'd change amid the many he's had over the years, Rodriguez chose the name of his stripper character, though he didn't seem to genuinely despise the name-though he freely admitted that that he was extremely uncomfortable wearing Speedos-even though his role often requires them.

Alex Pettyfer Not Returning For 'Magic Mike 2?'

"I'm definitely not comfortable in a speedo!" he said. "That's as uncomfortable as it gets! It goes up the crack, and it's just not that comfortable. I'm most comfortable in my bare shorts without any underwear and a t-shirt if I'm home. I definitely like to sleep naked. I don't know how girls do it with thongs. Forget that!"

And though his having to wear the costume is a part of coming back for the sequel, Rodriguez is one of only a handful of original cast members to openly discuss the film and his return for it. Of the original cast of male strippers, the only other 100 percent confirmed actors are Channing Tatum (Magic Mike), Joe Manganiello (Big D-k Richie) and Matt Bomer (Ken).

Most notably not confirmed to be returning are Matthew McConaughey (Dallas) and Alex Pettyfer (Adam 'The Kid').

While McConaughey's lack of return could be chalked up to his character not being necessary as the guys reportedly take their strip show on the road, the possibility of Pettyfer's character missing isn't something that could necessarily be easily explained by a change in the plot-though Tatum, who is also producing the film, is allegedly hesitant to allow him back onset after their famous clashes while filming the first movie back in 2012.

Back in 2012, it was reported several times that Pettyfer had a bad attitude on set, and the fights between him and Tatum caused a lot of tension.

"Channing and Alex had a fight while filming," a source told The New York Post back in 2012. "Those around them tried to mend their relationship, but Channing doesn't want anything to do with Alex."

"He hates Alex," another source told Us Weekly at the time. "Channing thought Alex was a diva on set. Alex was a jerk to everyone during filming for no reason. He thinks he's the star of the movie, not Channing or Matthew McConaughey."

However, despite the fact he may not be welcomed back on set, Pettyfer does reportedly hope to be involved in the project.

"Alex is dying to reprise his role, but Channing is on the fence," a source told OK! Magazine July 11. "It's going to take a lot of sucking up for Alex to get his part back."

Magic Mike: XXL is set to open in theaters July 3, 2015.
