Just before celebrities attended the 2014 VMAs, shots rang out at a Los Angeles night club injuring Death Row Records' founder Suge Knight.

According to police reports and TMZ, at 1:40am on Sunday morning (Aug. 24), singing sensation Chris Brown hosted a party at LA hot spot 1Oak. In celebration of the MTV Video Music Awards, celebrities like Justin Beiber and Tyson Beckford came out to party with friends and fans. Just as the party was starting to find its' groove, a shooting occured to end the party abruptly.

Sgt. Chris Tatar told the media that the hundreds of people inside the club were immediatley asked to exit the venue with their hands up, not knowing who took the shots that wounded three victims. Reportedly, record executive Suge Knight was shot several times, as well as one female (19) and another male victim (32) who are said to have been in critical condition.

Though there is video of the incident, The Los Angeles' County Sherriff's Department has yet to make any arrests.

All three victims are said to be in recovery at this time.

Brown, who had nothing to do with the shooting, took to Twitter to vent his frustrations, saying:

Send up prayers for the victims involved in this senseless crime.
