The partners are back together after Kensi's long absence, and the pair will strike up their usual banter during the fourth episode of season 6.

"Some very funny [Densi] moments [in my episode] :)," tweeted director Diana Valentine as filming wrapped early this week.

Despite this, Valentine was quick to concede that these exchanges may have no bearing on the budding romance between Deeks and Kensi.

"Humor has always been part of their partnership," Valentine told a fan when asked if "The 3rd Choir" would deliver any progress on the Densi relationship front. For Deeks and Kesni, their partnership is quite different than the romantic element they are trying to build.

However, the agents will open the season by trying to save Sam and Callen from their bomb-laden death trap. The pair ended season 5 stuck on a terrorist submarine, and the NCIS team will quickly run out of time - and options - to save their fellow agents during "Deep Trouble: Part 2."
