It seems that Jax (Charlie Hunnam) is purely in survival mode as FX's Sons of Anarchy continues into its final season.

Sons of Anarchy's Juice Has 'A Revelation About Himself' In Final Season

A new preview for Episode 2 of the final season has been released, showing the toll everything is taking on Jax. The new episode is titled Toil and Till and the promo shows Jax holding his son Abel in bed while a single tear rolls down his face.

"It's just survival, man," Jax says to an unknown character in the promo.

His mother Gemma (Katey Sagal) offers a similar sentiment, telling someone, "The way you stay alive is that people don't know you're here."

At another point in the trailer, Tig (Kim Coates) is sitting in the car and telling someone on his phone, "Looks like they're about to move out," referring to some members of the Lin Triad.

FX has also released a very brief plot synopsis for the episode that reads, "SAMCRO solicits help from another Charter to get a messy job done."

Meanwhile, Sons of Anarchy showrunner Kurt Sutter recently spoke with TVLine about a very interesting relationship developing between two characters, Nero (Jimmy Smits) and Wendy (Drea de Matteo).

"Nero makes the ironic realization that, at the end of the day, the woman who was probably THE most damaged in the pilot is probably the most self-aware human being in Charming," Sutter said.

Sons of Anarchy airs Tuesdays at 10 p.m. ET/PT on FX.
