She was initially criticized simply because she cut her long blonde locks and styled them into a new short cut, but now actress Kaley Cuoco-Sweeting is being forced to defend herself against critics for saying her husband, Ryan Sweeting, approved of her decision before she let a pair of scissors near her head.

Kaley Cuoco Not Pregnant Because She Keeps Losing Her Dog?

In an appearance on Ellen September 19, the 28-year-old revealed that not only did she seek permission from the producers of her hit show before she cut a few inches from her head, but also admitted she ran the idea by her husband of nine months first.

"I actually asked him before I did it, because a lot of guys aren't quite sure about the short hair," she told Ellen DeGeneres. "And he was totally cool, he said 'go ahead and do it,' not 'go ahead' but 'do whatever you want' and he loves it, he loves it. His hair is longer than mine now, which is so ridiculous."

Did Kaley Cuoco Leak Her Own Nude Photos?

Fans reportedly expressed upset over the statement, saying it was ridiculous that she asked her husband's permission before doing something she wanted to do for herself, but the actress doesn't seem bothered by the backlash, focusing instead on preparing for her appearance on CBS' The Talk, to promote the season 8 premiere of The Big Bang Theory, where her character will also be debuting a pixie cut.

Of course, fans are also expressing nerves over the fact that her haircut will extend to her character of Penny as well.

"Kaley Cuoco's new haircut makes her look pretty unattractive. So now there's absolutely nothing good about the Big Bang Theory," one wrote on Twitter.

"Kaley Cuoco you have ruined the next season of big bang theory with your new hair cut, stop," another wrote.

The Big Bang Theory season 8 premieres Monday, Sept. 22 at 8 p.m. on CBS.
