Hannibal is back in production mode, and the cast will enter the studio in less than a month.

Shocking 'Twists & Turns' Promised For 'Hannibal' Season 3, Bryan Fuller Explains

Series creator Bryan Fuller headed to the production office on Monday in advance of an Oct. 20 start to filming, according to The Dinner Party Show (via Den of Geek). The NBC series will then aim for an April or May premiere date.

When Hannibal returns, the show will fast forward to a year after the events of "Mizumono," and Dr. Lecter and Bedelia Du Maurier will be living their lives in Italy. Considering the plot will employ a foreign locale, Fuller hopes that the series will be able to conduct some of their filming across the Atlantic.

'Hannibal' Won't Go Past 6 Seasons, Bryan Fuller Explains

"We are absolutely exploring it," Fuller explained to A.V. Club. "That was one of the things that I said was very important to me. If we have to even get a unit that shoots somewhere abroad for exteriors to help us sell the Silence On The Lam through-line of season three. So yes, our plan is right now to shoot abroad anywhere from three to five weeks to help create that world of them on the run in a different environment, in a different country and right now we're looking at what our tax incentives are in various countries to be able to pull that off."
