If her lawyers have anything to do with it, Bravo's The Real Housewives of New Jersey cast member Teresa Giudice will log off Twitter until her sentencing on Oct. 2.

An insider told Radar Online Wednesday that her legal team wants her to quit tweeting while she is waiting for her hearing.

She caught her lawyers' attention when she showed of a Valentino handbag worth $2,000 on the hit reality series. That raised a red flag and they are allegedly demanding she stay off social media.

The source said her fame "is actually hurting her. All of her bad behavior is caught on camera, and there is chance the judge or prosecutors could use that against her."

The bag certainly did not help matters considering she and her husband Joe Giudice just settled a bankruptcy case. But the reality star is said to have had a reason for flaunting the expensive accessory for millions to see.

"It just looks bad. Teresa told her attorneys that the producers asked her to carry the handbag, and she felt obligated to do so, but they were still mad and told her to keep quiet."

Teresa might have confirmed that she has been instructed to stay silent. She wrote on her BravoTV blog Tuesday that she has lots to say but will wait.

"I will share, but I'm getting ready for the biggest day of our lives. I will be sharing when I can. But now is the time when I need to focus on the next ten days and not comment on the episodes. I love the show. I love my fans. I will be telling you all along with my Bravo family very soon. "

Teresa and Joe Giudice are scheduled to be sentenced on Oct. 2. They pleaded guilty to several fraud charges earlier this year. Teresa could get 27 months while Joe is looking at 46 months and a possible deportation back to Italy after he serves his sentence.
