The newest TV couple continues to keep encountering major obstacles and problems in their relationship on The Mindy Project.

Things 'Cool Down' Between Danny & Mindy?

In the show's Oct. 7 episode, I Slipped, Mindy (Mindy Kahling) and Danny (Chris Messina) will have yet another hurdle to clear in their romance when Mindy works hard to impress her boyfriend after their relationship enters a newer territory-but instead catches him in a big lie.

According to Hypable, Mindy will become furious at Danny for trying to explore some uncharted waters while they're in bed, and after he claims it was an accident and she catches him in a lie as to why it happened, the two could find themselves in the middle of a new and challenging fight.

Mindy & Danny Encounter Bedroom Issues?

After her initial anger, Danny will tell Mindy his eyes are going bad-but after a conversation with Peter (Adam Pally), she will realize that no matter what he uses to justify what happened-Danny is completely lying to her.

"Be honest with me, have you ever been with a girl, in bed, and then...accidentally...slipped?" she asks Peter in a preview clip for the episode.

"Nope. Danny's lying," Peter replies. "No man in the history of time has ever been in bed and quote unquote slipped and not been lying."

Then, when Mindy asks for clarification, Peter uses an analogy for her-asking her about her most prized possession-a signed photograph of Kris Jenner.

"Do you ever not know exactly where that is, or exactly what it's doing?" he asks.

After that, Mindy realizes that Danny truly is lying to her-and the consequences on their relationship could be drastic.

The Mindy Project airs Tuesdays at 9:30 p.m. on FOX.
