Sons of Anarchy fan favorite character Juice (Theo Rossi) may have figured out that Gemma (Katey Sagal) was trying to kill him in the latest episode, but what's up ahead for him may be even darker and sadder.

Rossi spoke with Entertainment Weekly after Tuesday night's episode, which featured Gemma driving Juice to a remote location in order to potentially murder him. However, the tables were turned after Juice figured out her big plan and he turned the gun on her.

Juice has been faced with many life or death situations on Sons of Anarchy and it's bound to get even worse for him, as Rossi suggested to EW.

"Very Unlikely" Jax Won't Discover Truth About Tara's Murder In Final Episodes of Sons of Anarchy

"I think it gets tremendously dark and tremendously sad. I think that there's a huge point to it, and I think the point is that it's not about betrayal, it's about this life, this heightened reality we're in. I think certain people can handle this club, certain people can't," Rossi explained. I think with Juice, it's almost like, 'God, how did he get into this world? How did this happen?'"

Rossi made it a point to note that Juice is not a victim to anything other than "his own circumstances."

"Yes, Jax told him to do certain things, [but he decides to do them] out of love and wanting a family," Rossi continued.

The preview for next week's episode, titled Smoke 'em If You Got 'em, features Juice potentially ratting out crucial intel about SAMCRO. It's bound to get even more complicated from here for the tragic character.

Sons of Anarchy airs Tuesdays at 10 p.m. ET/PT on FX.
