Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert each have a new album out this year and with the success both records are having, the singers are bound to go head-to-head for some award this season.

Blake Shelton Tunis There Are 'Too Many Award Shows' In Country Music

One place the married country stars won't be competing is the American Music Awards.

The full list of nominees was released by Rolling Stone on Monday, and while both singers earned a nod, the nominations weren't in the same category.

Winners at the AMAs are voted in by the fans, but nominees aren't just divided up based on genre, they are also split between male and female categories.

As a result, Shelton is up for Favorite Male Artist In Country Music, while his wife is nominated under Favorite Female Artist in Country Music.

There might not be any friendly competition at the AMAs, but the CMA Awards this November are different story. The country couple will face off against one another for Entertainer of the Year and Single of the Year, which could breed some friendly competition between two of the biggest names in country music, who also just happen to be husband and wife.

Lambert released her hit album Platinum on June 3, while Shelton released Bringing Back The Shine three months later in September.

The 48th Annual CMA Awards will air live on ABC Nov. 5 at 8 p.m. ET.

The American Music Awards will air live on ABC Sunday, Nov. 23.
