Marvel is currently making some big moves with their characters and the revelation that Iron Man will be showing up in the third Captain America movie. But will another hero join the party in a small cameo on leave from another studio?

Could A 'Community' Star Take Over For Andrew Garfield As Spider-Man?

With the news that Robert Downey Jr. would be joining the cast of Captain America 3 to help start the Civil War plot line, it would beg the question: Will Spider-Man be joining him also?

There were rumors that Marvel and Sony were working on an agreement to allow Spider-Man to show up in the cinematic universe in a few movies. With the Civil War plot starting in Captain America 3, this could mean Spider-Man will be joining near the end in a small cameo as a way to introduce him to the cinematic universe, but also set up for the third Avengers.

Emma Stone Heading Back To 'Spider-Man' Soon? Marvel May Want To Bring Her Back

In the comics, one of the big moments for the storyline is when Spider-Man comes forward, after being inspired by Tony Stark, to reveal his identity to the media as Peter Parker. While this may not happen in the third Captain America movie, it could be a big moment to happen during the third Avengers and lead to more Spider-Man scenes.

While there hasn't been any concrete news on the crossover, it seems like Sony is unsure of what to do with the character as the second movie didn't do well and are banking on the spin-offs for the time being and will let their main character live on with Marvel.

Who knows if that means Andrew Garfield is coming along or if they will cast someone new, but it seems like Spider-Man will be seen before 2018.
