Academy Awards 2015 Host: Neil Patrick Harris Reportedly In A Close Deal To Lead The Night, Crosses It Off His Bucket List On Twitter [VIDEO]
It looks like the 87th Academy Awards may have found its host to lead the big night.
On Wednesday, How I Met Your Mother Star and former lead performer in Broadway's Hedwig and the Angry Inch Neil Patrick Harris tweeted a clip on "Moby Picture" that shows a conversation he's having on the phone. He says, "I'm in" and then smiles into the camera that looms over to something else.
The camera shows Harris's bucket list with a bunch of check marks on things he planned to do before he dies. Some of these include "Jump out of a plane, " Move to NYC," "Saw a lady in half" and plenty more. As the list goes down to "Get married" and "Write a book," there is one thing at the bottom of the list that might confirm Harris as the host of the Oscars in 2015.
The last accomplishment on the list is "Host the Oscars," which Harris takes his pen and rather than checking the box or crossing it off, he circles it.
Does this prove that Harris is the official host in 2015? According to BuzzFeed, he is in a close deal.
The actor has plenty of experience in hosting popular award ceremonies, including the Emmy Awards and the Tony Awards. The site pointed out that if he is ever a host of the Grammy Awards, then he will have an EGOT (Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, Tony) for hosting.
This would be Harris's first time hosting the Oscars.
