The premiere of "Hollywood Divas" was only one week ago (Oct. 8), but the ladies have already presented enough drama to last them all season long. In case you missed the premiere, the women on the show are all actresses who have been in Hollywood -in some capacity- and would like to return. The stars, Golden Brooks, Paula Jai Parker, Elise Neal, Lisa Wu and Countess Vaughn, are ready to make acting work on their terms.

But, in episode one, fans got a glimpse into the stark reality of actress Paula Jai Parker. After years of successful work in films like "Hustle and Flow" and on television as the voice of Trudy Proud, she lost everything she earned and ended up homeless. Now, the actress, who thanks to the new TV One show has a new home and car, is speaking out on what made her lose it all.

In a new interview with Madame Noire, she explained, "We're vagabonds, acting is a gypsy lifestyle. My husband I were living that lifestyle." Then, things changed after she had her son Onederful and made some decisions that would lead to her filming scenes in a hotel room.

"We invested some money in making a movie and there was supposed to be a return, and it never happened, and we ended up losing our home... So we are starting all over again, together," Parker said.

In the second episode of the show, her homelessness was not a main focus but the ladies did start to work on the script of the short film they are supposed to complete. Elise Neal was no where to be found, and in the third episode, she is confronted by Paula Jai.

Stay tuned to TV One, because "Hollywood Divas" looks like it is about to be good.
