Grey's Anatomy: Patrick Dempsey May Have Accidentally Tweeted A Big Character SPOILER [PIC]
It was recently reported that Eric Dane aka McSteamy, would be leaving "Grey's Anatomy," but would stay on for several future episodes in order to close out the character for the 9th season, according to Entertainment Weekly.
However, blame it on Patrick Dempsey to further blow open the character's cover; as he tweeted what may be a huge show spoiler via a picture of Dane's character appearing to be on his death bed. Although there is no way of completely knowing, McDreamy has indeed started a buzz.
Dane had made the following comments on July 26th to TV Line in order to confirm what appeared to be his exit from the ABC series at the season's end:
"I am extremely grateful to everyone at Grey's, ABC and Shondaland for the experience and memories I have had over the course of this run," said Dane.
"It has been wonderful to work alongside and learn from a creative force such as Shonda Rhimes," Dane continued.
Executive Producer of Grey's Shonda Rimes already had done damage control earlier in the week in order to remove any attention from the character's future rumored exit.
"When we start the season, we are ahead enough in time where we see the outcome of lots of things. And in the second episode of the season, there's rewind - we go backwards - to where they're still in the forest, so you see what happened and in the next episode, you see how we get there," she said.
Many will speculate whether or not the photo is from a flashback scene. Or better yet, if the Dempsey tweet was intentional.
Either way Greys fans, there's only one way to find out; keep watching!
Grey's Anatomy premiere's it 9th season on ABC Thursday, September 27th at 9/8 CT.
