Chrissy Teigen Twitter Break?; Model Leaves Social Network After Death Threats Towards Husband John Legend, 'I Feel Sick' [PHOTO]
Chrissy Teigen, model and John Legend's gorgeous wife, is known for giving her unfiltered opinion on social media. But after making comments about a recent shooting in Ottawa, users replied with overwhelming amounts of hate that she decided she could no longer take.
Twitter trolls, social media gangsters, or haters-no matter what you call them, they all do the same thing. They wait for public figures (and sometimes fellow, less popular users) to tweet something they do not agree with, and reply with unthinkably evil statements to worsen their day. It's senseless and out of control. Yesterday, Chrissy Teigen, who usually shares the hateful things users Tweet to her, got fed up.
After news broke of a shooting in Ottawa, she tweeted, "active shooting in Canada, or as we call it in america, Wednesday," in an effort to sarcastically point out how sad it is that the lack gun control laws have allowed continued, senseless murders. But, many people took it the wrong way.

Looks Like John Legend Was Right, Jay and Bey Aren't Getting Divorced-- Couple Renews Vows! One user replied, "Sh*t your fucking mouth you ignorant ignorant cow. Canada is NOT America," and another added, "Another dumb bimbo only famous because of her looks...post an ignorant joke promoting liberal stupidity." With one look on her profile's timeline, it's evident as why she decided to take a break from the social media channel, tweeting:
I feel sick. Bye Twitter. Taking my talents to instagram. — christine teigen (@chrissyteigen) October 23, 2014
Surprisingly, a number of fans had a change of heart and rallied around her once she revealed that she no longer wanted to be a part of the Twitter-verse.
@chrissyteigen nooo we will miss your wit and candor

@chrissyteigen don't give the haters what they want, chrissy! please stay :( — Jenny Shaab (@jennyshaab) October 23, 2014
@chrissyteigen twitter is a double edged sword. You can tweet jokes that aren't jokes and other people can tweet what they want as well.
