Josh Henderson seemed to have one thing on his mind during his 33rd birthday on Oct. 25 – Dallas.

Dallas Star Emma Bell Expresses Nostalgia On Twitter

The actor, who starred as lead character John Ross Ewing, shared two posts on his Facebook as he celebrated and they were both linked to the cancelled TNT show.

First he uploaded a photo of himself amid a few balloons with the caption, “Thank you for all the birthday wishes! #SaveDallas.”

Dallas Showrunner Already Has Season 4 Planned Out

Shortly after, Henderson cleared up a rumor regarding the series. “Please know that the earlier post meant nothing more than there was a rumor TNT may be interested in the show again, and letting them know we miss the show can't hurt. Thanks for being so passionate everyone! #SaveDallas,” he wrote along with promotional photos.

On Sunday, he shared another photo from the festivities and this time he posed with a friend and included the words, “Birthday party! #SaveDallas.”

TNT announced the show’s cancellation after three seasons on Oct. 3. The reboot of the original Dallas, which aired from 1978 to 1991, kicked off in 2012 with 7 million viewers. However, that number began to decrease - the season 3 finale on Sept. 22 brought in a mere 1.7 million viewers. It’s assumed that the switch from summer to fall for season 2 caused the decrease, despite the return to the summer for the last season. Fans quickly started a petition to save the show and are still tweeting “#SaveDallas.”

Henderson first addressed the cancellation of Dallas via YouTube earlier in October and expressed a great deal of gratitude to these loyal fans.

“I haven’t put out a tweet or anything saying anything about the show yet because I felt like you guys deserve more than that, you do. You guys are the best fans ever,” he said. “I didn’t expect the show to be done. I was excited to continue on this story and to continue bringing you John Ross and working with this great cast and doing a show that I’m very proud of.”
