One of the most memorable characters from the second season of Netflix's Orange Is the New Black looks to be returning for Season 3.

What We Know So Far About 'Orange Is the New Black' Season 3

***Spoilers for Season 2 ahead***

She was the biggest villain of Season 2 but now it has been revealed that she might be back. Lorraine Toussaint, who played the evil, manipulative Vee during the prison series' second season, is reportedly filming scenes for Season 3, according to a new TMZ report. According to sources via TMZ, the actress apparently reported for work on Tuesday morning to film scenes for the show's third season.

Update: Netflix has denied claims that Toussaint is returning for Season 3 as Vee (via BuzzFeed)

This is a surprise given the fact that Vee was hit by a van being driven by Rosa (Barbara Rosenblat) during the Season 2 finale. Considering the force with which Rosa ran Vee over, it was heavily implied that she was dead.

However, it is entirely possible that Toussaint's return is just to film flashback scenes, which Orange Is the New Black includes in every episode. Given Vee's incredible power over her fellow Litchfield prisoners in Season 2, it wouldn't be too much of a surprise to see flashbacks that include Vee from a different prisoner's point of view.

OITNB creator Jenji Kohan has been notoriously conservative when it comes to revealing spoilers, so it is unlikely that the reason behind Toussaint's return will be announced.

Orange Is the New Black Season 3 is expected to begin streaming on Netflix in mid-2015, though the streaming service has not yet announced a specific return date. The first two seasons are currently streaming in full on the site.
