'Law & Order: SVU' Spoilers: New Episode Tackles Ray Rice Case [Video]

In this episode, detectives will work around the clock to solve a case surrounding sportscaster (Chad Coleman) and his girlfriend (Meagan Good).

It's no secret that Law and Order: SVU uses the news and "ripped from the headlines" format to help fuel the stories viewers see every week. In 2007, SVU aired an episode entitled "Haystack" a reporter, played by Nancy Grace, accuses a mother of kidnapping and killing her own baby.

This episode is a revised version of the trouble that Nancy Grace got into after Melinda Duckett committed suicide after appearing in an interview with Grace in which Grace badgered Duckett about the specifics of her son's disappearance.

Viewers can catch all new episodes of Law and Order: SVU every Wednesday night at 9 p.m. on NBC.
