While she was going through a time that was supposed to be joyous, X Factor singer Rebecca Ferguson was actually dealing with something pretty awful during her pregnancy.

In an interview with Hello! posted on Monday, the singer revealed that the father of her third child broke up with her when she told him that she was expecting a baby. And not only that, but he apparently had another girlfriend.

Ferguson, who gave birth to her daughter Arabella two weeks ago, gave the heartbreaking details on how she felt when this happened.

"On the outside everyone must have thought everything was rosy at home," she said. "I kept a smile on my face and kept all my feelings inside because I had this awful feeling of shame, but I was heartbroken."

The 28-year-old then admitted that she was furious when she discovered what her baby's father had done.

"I was fuming when I found out, I was so angry," she said. "The way I was treated was wrong. I think some people think you're devastated because you want the man, but it's not that. It's devastating for a woman because it's a normal thing for your child to be wanted."

Despite her difficulties, Ferguson is at a point in her life where she is not putting any bad blood upon anyone.

"I don't hold any hate towards him," she said. "He wasn't ready to be a dad and that's up to him. I'm not in his shoes and I can't force him. I'm happy with his decision now and I wish him and his partner well."
