Just a few days ago, Usain Bolt won the gold medal for the 100-meter for the second consecutive time, and now he will step into his second London finals to hopefully win the men's 200-meter on Aug. 9.

Running in lane 7, the Jamaican athlete set the world record for the sport, at 19.19, and will face the hardest competition from sprinters like USA's Wallace Spearmon, and Team Jamaica's Yohan Blake and Warren Weir.

Bolt, 25, is the 200-meter reigning champion, winning the gold in the 2008 Olympics. During the 2008 Games, he also snatched the gold for the 100-meter and the 4x100-meter.

Including his already London win from Sunday, Bolt is the second Olympian to ever win the 100-meter sprint twice. He finished with 20.18 in the 200-meter semifinals and sprinting alongside eight strong athletes at Thursday's final, Bolt desperately wants  to hold on to his title until the next Olympics.

"... That's why I'm here," Bolt said. "To cement my legend status...I'm focused and ready."

Even more so, if he wins the 200-meter finals, Bolt will become the first to ever win consecutive 100-meter and 200-meter gold medals, according to NBC.
